Welcome To My Personal Portfolio Site.

My name is Richard W. Chan, born and raised in Portland, Oregon. This site is intended to present some of the work that I have done over the past few years and expresses my artistic, creative & technical skills.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Art Institute of Portland majoring in MultiMedia & Web Design. Since my graduation I registered myself as a small business in Oregon doing web development contract/subcontract work for local and out of state businesses. At present I have been employed as a full-time PHP programmer for over two years.

Side note: for those who are curious as to why my site’s created in plain HTML instead of PHP, please don’t be deceived by the url. This is a clean XHTML/CSS site with no tables and runs within one index.php file. I created search engine friendly (SEF) urls for SEO purposes.

You can play around with the url if you wish. Example: http://www.richchan.com/123abc/resume.html, http://www.richchan.com/resume/123abc.html will all go straight to my resume page as long as "resume" ends with .html or encased in forward slashes. This works for every page except for my contact form due to security scripts.
